How are digitalisation and Open Science affecting research infrastructure use?

Niklas Blomberg, EOSC-Life Coordinator, will address this and other burning questions at "The Potential of Research Data" conference!

Niklas Blomberg, EOSC-Life Coordinator, will join an important panel discussion held at the conference:

The potential of research data – How research infrastructures support new opportunities and benefits for society

which will take place on 19 – 20 June 2023 in Lund, Sweden, organised by the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Mr. Blomberg will join several representatives from different sectors to discuss new opportunities in digital society and the promotion of open science.

    • How are these new opportunities changing how research is performed?
    • How will this affect the conditions for developing and operating European research infrastructures?
    • How is the movement towards open research data being handled at the European, national and
      organisational levels?
    • What is being done at the policy level?
    • How are existing research infrastructures affected by strategic research priorities and broad EU policy priorities that view research infrastructures as drivers of innovation and European socio-economic development?

These and other vital questions will be addressed in this panel discussion.

Mr. Blomberg will also highlight the crucial role played by research infrastructures. Researchers can only produce cutting-edge research results if research infrastructures can provide (access to) FAIR and open research data.

Therefore, the discussion will focus on the important role research infrastructures and projects like EOSC-Life play in enabling a variety of users to access these data.
