Success Story: OSA2Micro Meeting – An Open Science Approach to Microbiology Data Integration

This meeting on July 3-5 in Turin, Italy, highlighted the main achievements of EOSC-Life WP2!

The OSA2Micro Meeting: An Open Science Approach to Microbiology Data Integration held on 3-5 July 2023 in Turin (Italy) was organized by the Department of Computer Science, University of Turin, with the support of EOSC-Life, SUS-MIRRI.IT, MIRRI-IT, ELIXIR, CNR-ISA and IRCCS Ospedale Policlinico San Martino.

Participants learned about the main achievements of EOSC-Life WP2, including software tools and platforms identified or developed to overcome data integration challenges faced in the life sciences and especially in microbiology research.

The presentations illustrated the EOSC-Life roadmap, FAIR principles, implementation issues, and workflow management systems (e.g. Galaxy and related tools). Practical demonstrations showed specifically how these tools and platforms could be applied in the microbiology domain.

EOSC-Life sincerely thanks all participants and lecturers for ensuring the success of this event, and especially those from EOSC-Life partners:

Please contact the organisers for more information about meeting materials.
